Great success - Event: Software as Medical Device
Providing a platform for important topics and helping to shape the discussion at the cutting edge: the ETH Zurich Medical Project Team as hosts of yesterday's event "Software as a Medical Device".
The overwhelming participation proves it: The event "Software as a Medical Device: Freedoms and Regulatory Boundaries" at ETH Zurich struck a chord. Proven experts gave lectures and engaged in lively discussions about the possibilities, obstacles and opportunities of digital medical devices - ready for healthcare of the future.
Specialist presentations with practical relevance from the areas of medical technology, regulations for AI-based medtech products, first-hand experience with the market entry of a medical product, input on patient safety and digitisation as well as legislative framework conditions took up a large amount of space. As a starting point, the interested participants were given an overview of the political situation with regard to cooperation between international players and the current status between the EU and Switzerland in this important field of technological development and research.
