Online Symposium: Translational Proteomics

Advancing Precision Medicine: Unlocking Insights through Translational Proteomics | April 4, 2024

online symposium

Translational proteomics holds a crucial position in the identification of clinically relevant protein biomarkers that are rapidly progressing from discovery to validation. These biomarkers have greatly improved disease diagnosis and enable monitoring, predicting disease recurrence and targeting therapeutic interventions. Genetic markers indicate susceptibility but are not sufficient to confirm the presence of a disease.
Phenotypic markers, in particular changes in protein expression, are crucial for this. Clinical proteomics, which focuses on the discovery of protein biomarkers, represents a decisive advance in the personalised, early detection, diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
